TO THE CROSS

*Event Postponed*

March 11, 2020

Dear Event Attendees,

The organizing conference, pastors, and various church boards are working together to ensure the health and safety of those who were planning on attending the Journey to The Cross.

The coronavirus (2019-nCoV or COVID-19) and associated ARDS which began in China has spread to multiple countries including the United States. Yesterday, the first two (2) cases were confirmed in Stanislaus County and with testing for the virus ramping up there is the likelihood of many more confirmed cases in our community soon.

Due to the unknown seriousness of this health emergency, it is with a heavy but prayerful heart that we are postponing Journey to the Cross. As there have already been many hours spent in preparation, we are not yet ready to totally throw in the towel and cancel the event. However, we have been counseled by the Central California Conference as well as State and Local officials to limit exposure to large crowds of 250 or more. Journey to the cross has the potential of at least 1,000 people.

We are confident that all the work will not be in vain and we look forward to when we are given the ok to proceed whether it be next month or next year, and as soon as that is determined we’ll follow up to let you know the new date and times.

In the meantime, if you have any questions please feel free to contact us either through our website or through our Facebook page.

We will be praying along with all our area churches for the swift recovery of all those impacted, the safety of our community, and for the future of the Journey to the Cross.

Blessings,

Kartini Maxson,

Director of Journey to The Cross

THE jOURNEY BEGINS
